[FlightFix fictional development data — not a real passenger report] Our LATAM flight from Montevideo to Santiago was cancelled the morning of departure with no advance notice. We went straight to the airport ticket desk instead of waiting on hold, and asked specifically for involuntary rerouting -- we were on a flight three hours later at no extra cost.

This got us on the next available flight the same day, at no cost, without waiting for a phone queue.
